Make Money at Home-The 10 Best Ways

Make Money at Home-The 10 Best Ways

The trend of working from home has grown tremendously in the recent years. Long gone are the days when employment was thought of as a strict 9-5 day, travelling to the office in the morning and returning back home in the evening. With advanced technologies and changing trends in the economy, freelancing has become more common than ever before.

Don’t get home-based employment wrong as a mere part-time job that pays only in scanty sums. You can earn as much as you’d earn working at an office if you possess certain skills and capabilities.

Below, we have listed 10 of the best-paying jobs you can do at home. No more are jackpots and lotteries the only ways of getting rich sitting back at home, enjoying the comfort of the couch and closeness with your family.

1. Translator

Average Salary: $132,000

As a freelance translator, you translate texts from one language to another. It’s a perfect job for telecommuting. Translation is a pretty straightforward job and you can do it all by yourself at home.

You might need to revise your work at times but if you possess enough talent, you’ll be able to translate the words and also include the feel of the original work.

This job comes with its fair share of challenges. The work can seem quite monotonous at times, and time management is a skill you must have to succeed in this job.

2. Voice Actor.

Average Salary: $75,000

All voice actors provide voiceovers, but the purposes for voice acting vary a lot. You can do freelance voice acting for audiobooks, animation works, games, websites, videos, and more.

Voice acting is fun work to do and pays plenty. However, you may need to condition and train your voice.

Voice acting is just like acting. You might have difficulty finding work as different businesses tend to search for a specific kind of voice only. And altering your voice is a pretty difficult thing to do.

3. Statistical Analyst

Average Salary: $69,000

As a statistical analyst, you have to interpret the quantitative data and also design statistical models for research problems. Maintaining databases and ensuring validity of data is also required in most of the cases.

Statistical analysis is a very broad field and you should work towards specializing in particular types of data. It will add great value if you specialize in marketing, health, economics, or engineering data.

This kind of work requires proper training, and in many cases, the employers require you to have formal college training as well. Certification of statistical training is asked for in almost all cases.

4. Infographic Designer

Average Salary: $76,000

Infographics are becoming more and more of a powerful tool to visualize detailed information. These days, no one really seems to have time to go through web articles thoroughly, scanning through each and every detail.

So as the demand for infographics is increasing, infographic designing has become a very rewarding vocation. However, you need to be good with data visualization tools and should be very careful to only use the correct data.

If you have a knack for designing visually appealing infographics, you can earn as much just sitting back at home as you’d earn if you worked at an office.

5. Software Engineer

Average Salary: $94,000

The demand for software engineers has been ever increasing. And freelance software engineering opportunities are aplenty in the market.

Virtually all businesses want to have a website and app of their own. Add to that the ever present demand for desktop applications, and the future of software engineers looks very bright.

If you have sufficient skills and experience under your belt, you do not even need to have a college degree to succeed in this field.

6. Travel Agent

Average Salary: $56,000

Working as a home-based travel agent can be very exciting. You don’t actually need to have traveled to lots of places if you want to succeed in this field. However, you do need to understand travel well.

The internet has brought lots of changes to the traditional travel agent business. Even the most complicated trips can be arranged successfully at the click of a button.

As a freelance travel agent, you are involved in things like providing information to prospective visitors, driving traffic to a client’s website, and making arrangements for visitors.

7. Financial Manager

Average Salary: $103,000

Financial management is a highly paying job that you can do from home. In this vocation, you are responsible for providing proper financial support to the clients, helping them to make suitable business choices.

Common clients are financial corporations, retailers, charities, universities, and general businesses. Freelance financial managers are preferred by many clients for whom it is not suitable to hire a financial manager on a permanent basis.

However, to land this job, it’s necessary for you to have formal training and college education to establish your credentials.

8. Writer

Average Salary: $52,000

There are plenty of freelance writing opportunities available out there. You can write both for printed as well as online publishing media. With the growth of internet, online writing opportunities have always been on the rise.

Writing opportunities spread over multiple disciplines, from health, education, and career counselling to sports, music, and politics. If you can write, you’ll always find something that interests you.

This job pays significantly and you don’t even need to have formal education and college training. If you can show your adroitness with sample works and draft a solid cover letter, you are likely to land the job.

9. Graphic Designer

Average Salary: $52,000

The demand for freelance graphic designers is also increasing day by day. It’s a perfect home-based job opportunity as you’d like to be on your own while doing something creative.

Graphic designers are constantly wanted by corporations, advertisement agencies, newspapers, retailers, and websites. You can soon turn one client into many.

This is also a great opportunity that doesn’t require official training. Your creations speak for themselves, and if your clients fancy your work, you’ll land the job. Pretty simple!

10. Animator

Average Salary: $69,000

Freelance animator is a quite pleasing job to have, at least for those who really dig animation and don’t see it as work.

You need expensive resources in animation software, as well as computer hardware to be able to create swift animation. However, once you start getting clients, your initial investments will make far greater returns.

Animation is a quite challenging job, and often you’ll be working with a team of fellow animators rather than alone. You may find teamwork challenging or rather uplifting.

All the above average salaries have been taken from Indeed.com.

Make Money With ur Twitter Account-7 Ways

Make Money With ur Twitter Account-7 Ways

There are plenty of ways to make money online, though not all of them are created equal. With Twitter, however, there are more opportunities than ever to generate some extra income.

In fact, some people have even made careers out of the money they make with Twitter, but you don’t have to be a social media wunderkind in order to mimic their success. All it takes is some creativity and the ambition to carry it out.

1. Crowdsource.

Crowdsourcing is the practice of soliciting ideas and contributions from a large group or community. It’s been a marketing darling for years, especially when it comes to social media.

With Twitter, crowdsourcing is an effective way to bring in contributions from your followers (new and old) in order to fund your business or idea. This is especially useful in tandem with something like Kickstarter.

Crowdsourcing can make you plenty of money, or at least capital, but only if it is done correctly. Read up on plenty of successful case studies before attempting to start your first project.

2. Sell products.

This seems like a no-brainer, but some businesses actually forget that people won’t buy anything if they don’t see a call-to-action.

Now, when it comes to *how* you sell products on Twitter, the conversation becomes a little more old school. One of the most effective strategies is to use promotions and discounts to spur spending.

Some businesses have found plenty of success in “daily deals” and other basic marketing practices that fit well with Twitter. Just make sure that you’re not overwhelming your Twitter feed with pushy selling.

3. Produce your own Twitter-related service.

Your audience is on Twitter, which means you already know what they’re using in their free time. Take advantage of this by creating a Twitter product that they will want.

For example, a lot of Twitter users would like to use an app that lets them generate hashtags automatically, based on popularity. Something like this may exist already, but you can develop a better product that your followers will love you for.

Alternatively, you can use websites like Fiverr to charge people for building their Twitter presence. I’ve done this myself by helping other people generate (real) Twitter followers for low prices‒$5 for every 100 followers.

4. Use Sponsored Tweets.

Did you know you can actually charge businesses for your Tweets? On SponsoredTweets, you can find sponsors who will pay you to Tweet about their products for a fee you arrange.

Just make sure that you watch what you Tweet on the side. There are ample people who’ve been fired for what they Tweet, and the same goes for losing a relationship with a sponsor.

5. Discover new leads.

Thanks to Twitter’s fantastic search engine tool, you can seek out potential customers based on their bios and what they’re Tweeting.

Let’s say you sell skateboards. You can find new leads by searching for terms like “Need a new skateboard” or “Wish I had a skateboard like this.” From there, you can Tweet at the individual and let them know of a promotion you’re doing on skateboards. You could even offer them a coupon code if they’re interested.

6. Hold a Twitter contest.

Nothing engages people quite as efficiently as a prize. Try linking up with a local business who wants some publicity. Offer to hold a contest with Twitter and be paid a percentage of the sales that come in.

There are a lot of fun and creative ways to make a contest enticing for followers. You can ask them to be judges, crowdsource them for ideas, or simply ask them to favorite/retweet something.

7. Use YouTube.

If you’re savvy with videos, then consider making Twitter-related tutorials that people are searching for on Twitter. With AdSense, you can monetize your YouTube content and make plenty of money based solely on your Twitter expertise.

How to Use and Configure Android’s “Battery Saver” Mode

How to Use and Configure Android’s “Battery Saver” Mode

Google added a “Battery Saver” mode to Android with Android 5.0 Lollipop. On a modern Android device, this mode can kick in and help prolong your battery when it’s almost dead. You can tweak that battery threshold or enable Battery Saver mode manually.

What Does Battery Saver Mode Do?

Battery Saver functions similarly to Low Power Mode on Apple’s iPhones and iPads, or Battery Saver Mode on Windows 10. It’s designed to help stretch your battery life and save you time by automatically performing tweaks you might otherwise perform by hand.

When Battery Saver is enabled, Android will decrease your device’s performance to save battery power, so it’ll perform a bit less quickly but will stay running longer. Your phone or tablet won’t vibrate as much. Location services will also be restricted, so apps won’t use your device’s GPS hardware. This means Google Maps navigation also won’t function. Most background data usage will also be restricted. Email, messaging, and other types of app that rely on receiving new data may not update until you open them.

Battery Saver mode isn’t something you want enabled all of the time. While more battery life sounds great, turning off these features comes with significant downsides. This mode lowers performance, prevents background sync, and limits GPS access. That’s fine if the alternative is your phone dying, but it’s not something you want to deal with all the time–just when you’re really desperate to eke out a bit more battery.

How to Enable Battery Saver Mode Manually

To enable Battery Saver mode or change its settings on an Android device, first head to the Battery screen in the Settings app.

You can do this in a number of ways. For example, you could open the Settings app from the app drawer and tap “Battery.” Or, you could pull down the notification shade from the top of your screen, pull down again to access quick settings, tap the gear icon to open the Settings screen, and tap “Battery.” You could also just tap the battery icon in the quick settings shade to go directly to the Battery screen.

On the Battery screen, tap the menu button and tap “Battery saver.”

To manually enable Battery Saver mode, go to the Battery Saver screen and set the slider to “On.” While in Battery Saver mode, the bars at the top and bottom of your device’s screen will turn red to indicate you’re in Battery saver mode.

The color may look distracting, but it’s designed to quickly communicate to you that your phone is in Battery Saver mode. If your phone or tablet put itself into Battery Saver mode, this means it’s at a low battery level and you’ll want to charge it as soon as possible. You can’t disable the colored bars unless you root your phone and use a tweak like the Remove Battery Saver Warning Color module for the Xposed Framework.

How to Enable Battery Saver Mode Automatically

You don’t have to enable Battery saver manually. In fact, you generally shouldn’t. Instead, just have Android enable it when you need it.

Tap the “Turn on automatically” option on the Battery Saver screen and you can set Battery Saver mode to turn on automatically “at 15% battery,” “at 5% battery,” or “Never.” Unfortunately, there’s no way to set another battery threshold, so you can’t pick 20% or something else.

When your battery is running low, Battery Saver mode can keep it running longer until you can make it to an outlet and charge it. If you don’t like Battery Saver mode, this is also where you can disable it–set it to “Never” and you’ll never be bugged about Battery Saver mode again unless you visit this screen and enable it by hand.

How to Leave Battery Saver ModeMode

To leave Battery Saver mode, just plug in your phone or tablet and start charging it. Android will automatically disable Battery Saver mode while charging, and it’ll stay disabled when you unplug your phone.

You can also turn off Battery Saver mode manually. Just pull down your notification shade and tap “Turn Off Battery Saver” in the “Battery saver is on” notification.

You can also visit the Battery Saver screen in settings and set the slider to “Off.”

Sunday Oliseh Tells Mikel Obi: Play Defensive Midfield For Super Eagles Or Drop To The Bench

Sunday Oliseh Tells Mikel Obi: Play Defensive Midfield For Super Eagles Or Drop To The Bench

Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has warned John Mikel Obi that he risks losing his Super Eagles playing spot if he refuses playing as a defensive midfielder for Nigeria.

Mikel Obi has had a resurgence this season while playing as a defensive midfielder at Chelsea but opts to play offensive midfield when donning colours of the Super Eagles, a trend Oliseh wants to end.

Defensive midfield was also the same role Mikel played when he broke out internationally under coach Samson Siasia at the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup in the Netherlands.
“With the national team, it’s not what you want that matters, it is what will bring us results,”said Oliseh in a radio interview.

“If you don’t want to do that, I will play players who want to help us, like I did against Swaziland.

My personal opinion is that he should be given a more central defensive role, like (Guus) Hiddink is using him. He should be the umbrella for the two central defenders,” Oliseh said.

Jude Okoye Finally Call It Quit With P-Square, Removes Them From His Management Clients

Jude Okoye is finally done with his brothers P-Square and he has removed them from the lists of artists he manages. We guess Jude is tired of Peter calling him out and his fans also asking him if it is by force to manage the two brothers. One thing that is however not clear is if the duo of P-Square will actually break up after this. Peter was quoted to have said, Paul said, if Jude no longer manages them, then they can as well say BYE TO THE P-SQUARE BRAND.

Jude’s official twitter handle now only reads ‘President/C.E.O Northside Inc and Northside Entertainment Ltd. MANAGERS of Cynthia Morgan’.
